Will this fit my existing pool light niche?
Yes. Our 1.5 inch nicheless lights drop into the same threaded niche as Pentair, Jandy, and Hayward OE lights. The body diameter, thread pitch, and depth all match. If it doesn't fit, send it back and we refund you in full.
How is your light actually different from the OE light?
Four engineering decisions: a UV-resistant perma-seal housing that doesn't yellow or crack, liquid-cooled electronics that pull heat off the driver and extend life, a soft diffuse lens with no hot spots, and a high-efficiency LED chipset that's visibly brighter across all 13 RGB color modes. We rebuilt every part of the design that typically fails on OE lights.
Do I need to drain my pool to install it?
No. Our lights install the same way as the OE light. Pull the old one out at the deck, swap, and reinstall. No drain required. Most installs take under 30 minutes with basic hand tools.
Does this work with my existing pool light controller?
Yes. The light runs on standard 12VAC and works with any standard pool light controller, including Pentair IntelliCenter, Hayward OmniLogic, and Jandy AquaLink. The 13 RGB color modes change with on/off power cycling, which every controller supports. Native sync with branded color programs (named shows, party mode) is coming in a future firmware update.
What's the warranty?
Two years against water intrusion and LED failure. If the light fails for either reason in that window, we replace it. Save your order email. That's all the proof of purchase you need.
How fast do you ship?
Orders placed before 2pm ET ship the same business day. Most US customers see delivery in 2 to 4 business days via ground. Free shipping is included on every order. 150 ft cable custom orders typically ship within 5 to 7 business days.
What's your return policy?
30 days, no restocking fee. If the light doesn't fit your niche, doesn't work, or just isn't what you expected, send it back and we refund you in full. Just keep it in original condition with the packaging.
Do you offer 150 ft cable lengths?
Yes, as a custom order. 30, 50, and 100 ft cable lengths ship same business day from stock. 150 ft cable models are built to order and typically ship within 5 to 7 business days. Order through the variant selector on any product page.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently we ship within the United States only. International shipping is on the roadmap. If you're outside the US and want to order, contact us directly and we can sometimes arrange a freight forwarder.
Do you offer dealer or installer pricing?
Yes. Pool builders, service techs, and installers can apply for trade pricing through our dealer program. Contact us at info@poollightsdirect.com with your business details and we'll send the program info.
