4. Shipping
We ship within the United States. Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout and are not guaranteed. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier.

6. Professional Installation Required
Our products are electrical devices intended for use in and around swimming pools, spas, and water features. Improper installation, wiring, bonding, or grounding of any pool or spa light can cause serious injury, electric shock, electrocution, drowning, fire, property damage, or death.
ALL OF OUR PRODUCTS MUST BE INSTALLED, CONNECTED, AND SERVICED BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN qualified to work on pool and spa electrical systems, in full compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), all applicable state and local codes and amendments, the manufacturer's instructions, and any permit and inspection requirements of your local authority having jurisdiction. Before any installation, you are responsible for confirming that your pool or spa electrical system, including GFCI protection, equipotential bonding, grounding, junction box placement, transformer, and circuit voltage, is in safe working condition and compatible with the product. Installation by anyone other than a licensed electrician is done entirely at your own risk.
7. No Installation, Electrical, or Safety Advice
We are a retailer of replacement lighting products. We are not electricians, electrical contractors, engineers, or code officials, and we do not provide installation, electrical, wiring, code compliance, or safety advice. Any information we make available, including product descriptions, compatibility notes, blog articles, videos, photos, FAQs, social media posts, and any communication by phone, text, email, chat, or otherwise, is general product information only. It is not professional advice, is not a substitute for an on site evaluation by a licensed electrician, and must not be relied upon for installation, wiring, repair, or safety decisions. 8. Your Responsibility and Assumption of Risk

You are responsible for regularly testing GFCI protection, for inspecting your fixtures, and for keeping all persons out of the water and shutting off power if you observe any sign of an electrical problem, including any tingle or shock, water inside a fixture, a damaged cord or lens, or a GFCI that trips or will not reset. By purchasing, installing, or using our products, you knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with their installation, operation, and use, including the risks of the pool or spa electrical system in which they are installed.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our products are covered only by the express written warranty published on our Warranty Terms page, subject to its terms and conditions. That warranty is void for any product that was not installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable codes, or that was modified, misused, improperly installed, or connected to an incorrect voltage or an unsafe or noncompliant electrical system.
EXCEPT FOR THAT EXPRESS WRITTEN WARRANTY, AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR PRODUCTS, WEBSITE, AND ALL INFORMATION WE PROVIDE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," AND WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE TERM OF THE EXPRESS WRITTEN WARRANTY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POOL LIGHTS DIRECT, ITS PARENT COMPANY, AND THEIR OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE PURCHASE, INSTALLATION, OPERATION, USE, OR INABILITY TO USE OUR PRODUCTS, ANY INFORMATION OR COMMUNICATION WE PROVIDE, OR THE CONDITION OF ANY POOL, SPA, OR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, INCLUDING DAMAGES RESULTING FROM INSTALLATION BY ANYONE OTHER THAN A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN, IMPROPER INSTALLATION, WIRING, BONDING, OR GROUNDING, FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH APPLICABLE CODES, MODIFICATION, MISUSE, OR NEGLECT, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ANY PRODUCT OR THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
11. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pool Lights Direct, its parent company, and their owners, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, demands, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to the installation, operation, or use of products you purchased from us, any installation not performed by a licensed electrician in compliance with applicable codes, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
